Balanced nutrition at Angsana

A balanced meal should have 40% vegetables, 30% protein, 30% carbohydrates like rice. Here we serve at least 2 portions of vegetables as well as a good portion or two of protein. Muscle atrophy is normal in elderly, so it is important to keep up the protein intake.

For tea what is healthier than some red beans, with a treat of 'eu char koey'. We also serve fruits daily - vitamins in the fruits helps our immune system and fibre helps to move the bowels.

We do also adapt the food for those elderly who needs softer diet.

This is all vital to ensure Angsana residents get a balanced nutritious diet, just like what they should be getting at home.
